Not true. In fact, in past years when Legislators were not visited, they have contacted the CAR office to find out why and express their disappointment. You are an important part of your Legislators' consitutency... they won't know your views and concerns unless you take the time to share them.
"I can't afford a day out of the office."No problem - most meetings with Legislators end before noon... plenty of time to get back to your office for the afternoon.
"I don't know the issues well enough."If you register early, you will receive copies of all Legislative Reports, Legislative Alerts and advance mailings to keep you informed on all of the issues.
"I wouldn't feel comfortable speaking."Don't worry - you don't have to speak! REALTOR® groups are encouraged to select one spokesperson to present the issues to Legislators. Your presence alone speaks volumes. There is strength in numbers.
