with the Partnership for Strong Communities and
HOPE Partnership, is sponsoring a series of
FREE,
90 minute Regional Housing Forums. These forums
are targeted at municipalities to learn how they
can create the housing needed and attendees will
include Mayors, First Selectmen, zoning
commissioners, planners, community development
directors, homebuilders and business/community
leaders. As REALTORS®, we need your
attendance/support to take part in the
conversation about the housing needs in your local

Annual
Conference |

Don’t miss Connecticut’s largest gathering of
affordable housing practitioners and advocates.
The annual conference of the Connecticut Housing
Coalition will be held on Wednesday, October
19th at the Connecticut Convention
Center in Hartford. This year’s event promises
16 wide-ranging workshops,
inspiring presenters, practical training and
valuable networking opportunities. Register
by September 30th for early bird

GRI-3 will
be held at the Gr. Hartford Association office in
West Hartford on Sept.
12, 14, 19 & 21. When you
complete the GRI-3 Series, you satisfy 30 hours of
Broker pre-licensing, 9 hours of elective
Continuing Education (CE) credit necessary for
2012 license renewal, the NAR mandatory Ethics
training (required every four years) and receive
the NAR At Home with Diversity
certification.
Appraisal-1
will be held at the Gr. New Haven Association
office in North Haven on
Sept. 13, 20, 27, Oct. 4 & 11.
Five Tuesdays place you on your way to
completing the Appraisal-1 course which is
approved for 30 hours of
Broker Pre-licensing credit
AND 6 hours of
Elective Continuing Education (CE) Credit
toward 2012 license renewal.
GRI-2
will be held at the Mid-Fairfield County
Association office in
Westport on Sept. 26, 28,
Oct. 3 & 5. When you complete the
GRI-2 Series, you satisfy 30 hours of Broker
pre-licensing and 9 hours of elective
Continuing Education (CE) credit necessary for
2012 license renewal.

Week Coming Up in
September! |

This year’s “RPAC Week” will be celebrated the
week of September 26–30th.
To celebrate “RPAC Week”, all REALTORS® who
contribute their Fair Share RPAC contribution of
$15 dollars or more between August 3 and September
30 will automatically be entered in a drawing to
win an iPad. Many local boards/associations
are relying on this final push for 2011 RPAC in
order to make their RPAC Goal. Statewide,
Connecticut needs to raise its participation
percentage for RPAC to 25%. If your company
receives a visit from your local RPAC team, please
help them feel welcome, and contribute your fair
share to RPAC. Contribute now using your personal
check or credit card. Simply click here. (You will need your
CAR website username and password to access the
donation form.) Approximately 850 more
REALTOR® contributions to RPAC will put us ahead
of other states like California!
