2011 RPAC Turns Up the Heat

President Fercodini joins 2011 Political Fundraising Chair Marti Correia in urging all REALTORS® to contribute to RPAC during this year’s fundraising campaign. Gene will be trying to personally thank contributors he meets during his travels. The 2011 Connecticut Association of REALTORS® has 16,500 members yet only 1,600 gave to RPAC last year, making our state the second lowest in participation nationwide.  What is your role going to be when it comes to protecting your industry, participant or non-participant?

To contribute now using your personal check or credit card, simply click here.

This solicitation is intended only for members of CAR. For assistance with your local Board/Association Political Fundraising efforts, please contact Holly Reed.

Hotsheet Legal Tip

Client or Customer?

A client is someone (a buyer, seller, landlord or tenant) who has signed an agency agreement with a broker/real estate company. Every agent in the real estate company represents every client that has signed an agency agreement with their company (however, there is an exception with designated agency). In contrast, a customer is someone who has not signed a representation agreement with a broker/real estate company, has no agency relationship, and therefore, is not owed fiduciary duties. A customer is on their own.
