For many years now, CAR has presented a $1,000 Past Presidents Scholarship to a deserving student enrolled in the real estate program at UConn. This year's Past Presidents Scholarship was awarded to Seth Rosenberg at the Annual Real Estate Awards program held on April 5
th at the University of Connecticut.
Seth is currently pursuing his Bachelors of Science in Business majoring in Real Estate Finance and Urban Economics and maintains a 3.89 GPA. He has also made the Dean's list during his time at UConn and received the New England Scholar Award in 2009 and 2010. Seth is an active member of the Finance Society, the Real Estate Society, and Delta Sigma Pi a professional business fraternity. He has volunteered at Dodging for Dollars, the CT Audubon Society and the Hartford ING Marathon and works part time to help support his educational goals.
Seth believes his decision to pursue a career in real estate stems from time he has spent with a real estate mentor who specializes in rehabbing historic buildings in urban areas. Time spent with his mentor sparked a desire to personally be challenged and grow while working in a public service oriented career that can also have a positive influence on urban culture.
