At CAR we maintain a list of leadership and experts in the field. Give him a call or email and he'll find out who is the best contact to speak to.
When we receive a press call we immediately start looking for the best available person to talk to by topic by region and then connect you with them. CAR staff themselves generally do not do interviews as we leave that to the REALTOR® leadership and membership.
Please note that while REALTORS® are happy to speak to the press many, are out in the field often, some are more available for on camera segments than others. We will try to set you up with a REALTOR® expert as fast as possible, but it varies depending on the day.
It is very difficult for REALTORS® to supply their clients for interviews, especially on short notice.
Believe it or not, Housing Statistics are not an exact science. While at the national level there is great detail, statistics vary in terms of both the period covered, and the detail at which they offer whether it's regional or state statistics. It's also important to note that the real estate market while aggregated literally differs by block. There are a variety of statistics sources out there covering various ground.
