McCombs is a REALTOR® with Prudential Connecticut Realty in Fairfield. She is a former President of the Greater Bridgeport Board, as well as Chair of the Scholarship Committee and Realtor of the Year Committee. She was also a member of the CAR Professional Standards Committee, and CAR's Board of Directors. She will serve on the Risk Reduction Committee in 2012. She held several positions at the local board level as well. She also participated in the Golf Tournament and Holiday Committee and was Bridgeport's REALTOR of the Year in 2010.

In the area of charity she is a yearly participant and supporter of Cancer Care, support for Cancer Survivors and Caretakers and volunteer participant in Prayer Shawls for Breast Cancer Patients.
