Gene Fercodini, ABR, GRI, PSCS, e-PRO

Fercodini was 2011 State President, and also the 2008 State REALTOR® of the Year. This outstanding achievement award is given annually to one REALTOR® who displays commitment, leadership and great dedication to the REALTOR® trade association at the State, National and Local levels.

In 2011 he served on the Finance and Issues Advocacy committees in addition to the RPAC Trustees. He also served as a NAR director. He is a past chair of the CAR Finance Committee and the Political Fundraising Committee. Locally, Fercodini was President of the Greater Waterbury Board of REALTORS® and has served on its Board of Directors since 2000. The local group named him their REALTOR® of the Year for 2007. He also has served on the NAR Membership Policy & Board Jurisdiction Committee and the Risk Reduction Committee.

Fercodini's involvement with so many facets of CAR makes him an expert in the issues related to real estate which have a profound impact on not just REALTORS® but on the public at large. Fercodini holds as many positions in the community as he does within CAR showcasing a commitment to improving one's profession and surroundings. He possesses a GRI designation which signifies advanced education in the field. He also has an ABR which is a special designation indicating proficiency in aiding buyers. Additionally he is certified to arbitrate professional standards and has an e-Pro designation.

He and his wife Linda, a former State CAR President, are celebrating 44 years of marriage. Together they have two children Carissa Lynn and Gene Jr., as well as a granddaughter, Cassandra. Fercodini is a founding member of Wolcott Circle of Sports serving as their Vice President for five years and he currently sits on their Board of Directors. Other community activities Fercodini has been involved with are the Wolcott Lions Club, the Lions International, Baseball Association of Wolcott, Wolcott Education Association and the Wolcott Fair Land Development Committee.
