Farmington, CT - On Wednesday, February 1, 2006, William Raveis Real Estate & Home Services and the William Raveis Breast Cancer Research Fund presented a check for $35,000 to the Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Connecticut Health Center. The check was presented after a tour of the center's new colon cancer prevention center and the research lab of Dr. Kevin Claffey, PhD. A lunch reception with Dr. Carolyn Runowicz, the Director of the Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center and President of the American Cancer Society, followed the check presentation. "The dedication of the Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center towards both finding a cure and treating those currently afflicted with these devastating illnesses is simply inspiring", commented Bill Raveis, Chairman and CEO. "We are honored to be able to help them continue to work towards a cure with this donation", he continued.
